Encinitas Holiday Street Faire

The Encinitas Street Faire and Fall Festival are located down the center of six blocks of scenic South Coast Highway 101, two blocks from the Pacific Ocean.  This two-day faire in the Spring and one day in the Fall draw large crowds and features a booth arrangement that provides half of the vendors with two adjoining sides open to traffic, if they choose.

In the spring street faire, ongoing since 1983, international food, children’s rides, four live stages, and the craft brewery beer garden guarantee that there will be fun for the whole family. In the Fall Festival, continuous since 1989, children’s rides, two stages of live entertainment and food and drink refreshments provide an attractive setting for the public and a great boon to our vendors.

The emphasis of both the Encinitas Street Faire and the Holiday Festival is on arts, handmade crafts, antiques, and ethnic imports.

Carlsbad Crafter's Showcase

New for 2018 – a move to December and to a Saturday! Crafter’s Showcase – highlighting the creativity of 50+ local and regional artisans in crafts, wood-working, 3D functional art, natural jewelry, fabric creations, and unique repurposed materials. All applicants are juried and only self-designed and handcrafted items will exhibit in this venue. We welcome you to join us for this artisanal event in the quaint and beautiful Village of Carlsbad, just a few blocks from the beach.

Carlsbad Street Faire

Beautiful and balmy days in the coastal city of Carlsbad beckon you to the largest
one day street faire anywhere!

The Village Faire features over 850 unique vendors with a little of everything: arts & crafts, antiques, unique clothing, items from around the world, and more. Children’s rides, an international food center, and an old-fashioned pancake breakfast guarantee that you’ll find fun for the whole family!

Parking for this very popular event is limited, so visitors are encouraged to use the complimentary shuttles that run to and from the faire every 15 minutes. The shuttle pick-up locations are at the northwest corner of Sears at Shoppes at Carlsbad Plaza Camino Real (Highway 78 and Jefferson) as well as at the Poinsettia Coaster Station (Poinsettia exit off of I-5). There will be limited amount of handicap parking throughout the event.

Dia De Los Muertos at Mission San Luis Rey

Mission San Luis Rey invites you to join the fun on Sunday, October 30th, to celebrate Día de los Muertos in Oceanside, the largest festival of its kind in San Diego County. The Mission will fulfill the need for a new venue area for this year’s festival with a flower-filled retail mercado using over 30,000 marigolds that are grown especially for the celebration by Mellano & Company. Marigolds (cempasuchiles) are used to create Ofrendas, altars honoring loved ones at the heart of the festival. These authentic Ofrendas will be created by Oaxacan and Michoacan families as memorials and by artists, students. Guest will enjoy music, dancing, a variety of scrumptious food, a retail mercado, authentic dancers for this event. Oceanside’s Día de los Muertos is an interactive festival where patrons of all ages are invited to create their very own Ofrendas at the Chalk Cemetery with candles, flowers, and chalk. This heartwarming area stretches an entire block by the end of the day. While you tap your foot to the music played at the stage and Heritage Lawn, don’t forget to bring your family and enjoy a hands-on craft area, street entertainers and an opportunity to learn more about the history of this uplifting event

Pumpkin Festival at Bates Nut Farm

I've been visiting the pumpkin patch at Bates Nut farm for decades now, but this will be the very first year that I'm participating! Cheryl's Caramels will be located at booth 41 for the entire weekend of fun!

Check out the eighty artisans selling American handmade crafts and fine art at the “Pumpkin Festival” Arts ‘n Crafts Fair. Admire and shop for beautiful jewelry, woodworking, candles, toys and many other unique items. Bates’ famous Pumpkin Patch will be open so you can enjoy the fall decorations, tractor hayrides, straw maze, Snows Pony Rides, petting corral, and delicious food from a variety of vendors.

Start your fall mornings at Bates Nut Farm with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast from 7-10 a.m. each day. Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice and all proceeds benefit local charities.

Free admission. $5.00 parking on October weekends.

Encinitas Oktoberfest

The annual Encinitas Oktoberfest community event emphasizes arts and crafts, authentic refreshments, authentic German beer garden and entertainment, exhibits and Chamber of Commerce businesses.  Located on Mountain Vista Drive at El Camino Real, this free festival spans 6 blocks of Mountain Vista Dr., includes 175 vendors, and attracts over 20-25,000 in attendance.   This is a premier Oktoberfest in north San Diego County.

Oceanside Harbor Days

Two event-filled days of sun, sand and surf provide an outstanding opportunity for our vendors to enjoy the thousands of residents and neighbors who come out to experience the many fun activities, including first-rate arts & crafts, great food, sand castle competition, children’s area, Nail “n” Sail competition, military, police and fire displays, and much, much more.

Harbor Days is free to the public. Shuttle buses run all day from various parking locations and to the different venues.

Since 2002, Summergrass San Diego bluegrass festival in Vista, California features international and national touring bluegrass bands as well as talented local up-and-comers at the fascinating Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum. The three-day finger-picking good time features performances from dozens of bluegrass musicians, impromptu jam sessions, on-site camping, workshops, 3-day bluegrass camp for kids, good food, special raffles and a great weekend for all ages.

2018 Art in the Village

Held on the second Sunday every August, the Carlsbad Village Association’s 20th Annual Art in the Village will take place on August 12, 2018. Last year’s event brought over 100 local and regional artists for a fantastic one-day, open air event. Celebrating the dynamic art culture in Carlsbad Village and the surrounding areas, the event attracts thousands of residents and travelers by offering a diverse selection of fine artists in mediums such as oil painting, watercolor, photography, mixed media, new media, classical and contemporary sculpture, and more. Starting at 9 a.m. attendees browse exhibits, watch performance art, enjoy interactive demos, and listen to live music along State Street and Grand Avenue right in the heart of downtown Carlsbad Village, just two blocks from Carlsbad State Beach.

Vista Strawberry Festival

The Vista Strawberry Festival is the only festival in San Diego County that celebrates all the joys and pleasures of the Strawberry. Vista was once the “Strawberry Capital of the World” and still boasts many strawberry fields. Fallbrook Avocado Festival

Fallbrook’s Annual Avocado Festival provides an opportunity for entertainment and camaraderie bringing large numbers of visitors. The central role that the avocado plays in our lives is evident in the Festival’s Farmers Market, Agricultural Area, Avocado Culinary Demonstrations, Guacamole Contest, Avocado Ice Cream, Holy Guaca-Moly, the Art of the Avocado Contest, the Avo 500 Children’s Car Race, and the Best Decorated Avocado Contest.  A wide variety of agricultural displays are also found all along the Festival streets. What a fun-filled way to celebrate our heritage and be entertained at the same time!
